Cape May Wine

Seasoned connoisseurs and amateur appreciators alike are sure to enjoy an afternoon visiting one of the spectacular Cape May wineries located near our Cape May, NJ inn.

Cape May Winery and Turdo Vineyards are the closest two. They’re located just three miles from the hotel! The first of these is one of the city’s biggest attractions: four vineyards spread over 150 acres let Cape May Winery produce over twenty different styles of wine. Though they specially recommend their signature, soft, buttery, vanilla-flavored Barrel Fermented Chardonnay, their professional wine associates will also be on hand to help guide you to your ideal wine!

Turdo Vineyards has been family-owned and run for over 10 years. Their wines—always estate grown—won silver and bronze awards at the 2010 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition against entries from all 50 states and other countries. In addition, they were named Best Wine Shop by in Philadelphia Magazine’s Best of the Shore 2010.

A third choice is the Hawk Haven Vineyard, which is located slightly farther from the hotel. Their tasting room is open every day, which makes a good place to stop by. Be sure to ask about their selections which have earned gold medals and other praise from the World Wine Championship.

Pick up some bottles and enjoy your new finds back at The Bedford Inn.

  • The accommodations were fabulous, including beach chairs and towels, wonderful porches with rocking chairs, comfortable outside seating, proximity to the beach and town, and the delicious breakfasts. We are first time visitors of Cape May and during our five night stay it felt like you were staying at a home. The next time we go back to Cape May, we would only consider staying at The Bedford Inn and highly recommend to other visitors.
